Why Athletes Choose UCS Spirit Poles

Every pole vault world record since 1987 has one thing in common: UCS Spirit. From Sergey Bubka’s first record on Spirits almost four decades ago to every new world record since, no other pole has carried more vaulters to world-record heights. That’s why Spirit has been the leading choice for rising athletes and champions alike. Our competition-grade pole vault poles continue to be trusted by the world’s top vaulters – including 2024 pole vault gold medalists Mondo Duplantis (14 WRs on Spirit) and Nina Kennedy – as they deliver unbeatable strength and performance. From high school track meets to Olympic arenas, every pole is designed to give athletes the reliable performance they need to push the limits and soar higher.

Our pole vault poles are constructed with precision-engineered fiberglass to provide a consistently smooth flex for every jump. Proudly made in the USA, they accommodate all skill levels and body weights. Plus, each pole meets NFHS, USA Track & Field and World Athletics standards. For nearly forty years, we’ve been helping athletes at all levels clear new heights and reach their goals.

Engineered for Safety and Performance

We manufacture our competition pole vault poles with safe and predictable performance in mind. After decades of innovation in the industry, we have perfected the process of balancing flexibility with strength. The result is an ultralight pole that provides consistent performance vault after vault.

• Our fiberglass pole vault poles are constructed from S-glass fiberglass for optimal strength and flexibility.
• They are designed for unvarying recoil as well as predictable plant response to support technical accuracy.
• Poles are available in a full range of lengths, flexes and weight ratings for a personalized fit.
• Each pole is flex-tested before leaving the facility
